In this report you will find the DDA’s annual market research into the Dutch data center market. The theme “Go Digital, Act Sustainable” shows that the two largest developments in the world, digitalization and the energy transition, come together in data centers.
Data centers facilitate the digital economy and work hard on their energy efficiency. 86% of the DDA participants now use green energy; in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, where 74% of the DDA data centers are located, this is even 99%.
The report also shows that demand for data center services continues to grow. Nationwide, the total data floor area grew by 10%. The 189 Dutch multi-tenant data centers now jointly cover 378,000 m2 of data floor.
According to the research, the sector identifies the biggest challenges as finding new customers, suitable personnel and sufficient power connections.
