Out of Use is a Belgian circular service provider that supports organizations in the management of end of life technology. We deliver safe, compliant and sustainable processing of decommissioned technological assets with the aim of maximising value retention, minimising environmental impact and offering full transparency to our clients.
Our approach prioritises reuse and value maximisation. Devices and components that are suitable for reuse are systematically sorted, tested and refurbished so they can be redeployed within the circular economy. When reuse is not feasible, we ensure responsible processing in line with applicable environmental and compliance requirements.
For data centers we carry out complex dismantling projects that focus on material recovery and the reuse of components. Servers, network equipment and infrastructure components are methodically dismantled, technically assessed and selected based on residual value. Parts with reuse potential are given a second life, while residual streams are tracked and handled in a fully compliant and transparent manner.
Data destruction and compliance are central to our services. We guarantee secure and compliant destruction of sensitive data on all storage media, accompanied by certificates and detailed reporting, so organisations have demonstrable compliance and peace of mind during decommissioning.
Out of Use also supports ESG objectives by providing clear reporting: clients receive technical processing reports, financial value allocation and carbon footprint reports that quantify the climate impact of circular choices. Our transparent business model makes sustainability measurable and strategically deployable within the organisation.
We guide clients through the entire process, from collection and logistics to processing, reporting and value distribution.
